Peace

Peace is the calming of the storm
quenching the thirst of the heart and hydrating the soul
Barren...my wasteland has become in these troubling days
I've forgotten the warmth of the sun that caressed my brow
A shade of sadness has saturated my body
leaving me in the dark about my future
I miss my peace

Peace is like that first piece of candy when you were young
A taste-bud explosion
You can never get enough of it melting in your mouth
You can never put it down and you'll do anything to have another piece
Thats what it tastes like
I crave it more and more everyday
I miss my peace

My peace is sacred
My peace is a rare jewel
More valuable than any possession known to man
One of the eight wonders of the world
I stare in amazement at the very glimpse of it
I miss it
I want my peace back
But........does it want me?
